Summer is in full effect and as the days get hotter, you can bet on one thing: July 4th 2016 deals are turning the temperature down on our wallets. With major sales including discounts on flights and hotels, seasonal promo codes, and end of season apparel sales, 4th of July deals are going off left and right like fireworks this year! Check out Promocodewatch’s top 5 tips for finding the best July 4th deals.

Seasonal sales: Be on the lookout for product specific seasonal 4th of July sales that give buyers discounts on things like grills, patio furniture and more. These are the types of items that generally don’t see too many discounts during the summer months except for on special holidays just like July 4th.

Promo codes: Promo codes are a great way to save all year and 4th of July will be no different. Keep an eye out for limited time promo codes that run over July 4th weekend. Check out stores like Target or Kohl's for promo codes which can be stacked on top of already discounted products. There will be no shortage on promo codes for savings this summer-holiday season and no shortage of great products to choose from.

Plan ahead vacations: 4th of July sales also include deals on travel. Book flights for the fall and winter with hot deals on hotels, flights, car rentals and more. We always recommend booking travel well in advance so that you can save as much money as possible. Look for those types of opportunities from large travel booking sites like Hotels.com and Travelocity.

End of season: When summer starts getting hot, that’s when you need to start looking for deals on winter clothes and other items that are not in season. These types of sales may be labeled as clearance sales too, and will include things like jackets, gloves and other items that don’t get bought by consumers during the summer months.

After-holiday sales: Once 4th of July has come and gone, don't stop looking for the deals! Retailers like to use the time after holidays to get rid of everything they wanted to sell on that holiday. Last year, Macy's offered up to 70% off on July 8th. We're definitely going to be saving some cash this week for all the July 4th sales that come later next week!

This 4th of July, be a smart shopper and use our tips for saving money on summer sales. Keep up on the sales all week with our collection of the best 4th of July deals 2016.
